Education Apps

Education has come a long way now,so has education apps to the rescue. Technology has changed so much in the last decade and education has jumped onto this bandwagon for the better. With the advent of smartphones and other portable devices, the traditional way of learning is seeing a huge shift in the way things were done.

Now, there are hundreds of apps that students can choose based on how they want to learn. We hear people talking about the pros and cons of using technology for education all the time now. At SectorQube, we believe, it is always good to make use of the advances we’ve made in technology in our learning process.

Earlier, learning was mostly done in schools and colleges and was pretty much expensive. Now, teachers are more of a facilitator than authoritarians and students take active control in their self-development. The internet now has content on almost all possible subjects and is accessible to all. There is also a slew of apps also known as edutainment apps. They are, like the word suggests, a mix of education, interaction, and fun which makes the process of learning interesting.

High-speed internet, the rise of portable smart devices usage, and a vast improvement in the quality of animation and related media now help these apps help users learn through music, storytelling and moving pictures. It piques the curiosity of learners and keeps them engrossed in learning and at the same time, keep them safe from the dark areas of the internet.

Advantages of Education Apps

If you thought educational apps meant accessing the traditional courses from a smart device, then you are wrong. It is much more than that. It helps users make use of modern technology to learn what interests them in an efficient and easy way. Below are some of the advantages of using technology in one’s learning process.

  • Accessibility and Efficiency

Users can now access education apps from anywhere in the world at any time, provided they have access to the internet. (There are some apps which can be accessed offline also.) These can now be accessible via any portable smart devices and not just desktop/ laptops. Education apps make use of microlearning and are mostly interactive so as to retain information faster.

It is beneficial for everyone. Anybody who has a thirst for knowledge can now find content for the topics they are interested in and learn it at their own pace. Teachers can also teach from anywhere now with the help of virtual classrooms and platforms which support the same. This wasn’t possible with the traditional learning process.

  • Study material availability

Almost all of the education apps now have organized content curated for different topics and there will be an overview of what the lessons entail. Most of the syllabuses will have interactive learning using multimedia and active learning so that the content stimulates curiosity and users are engaged in the material. All the study materials are now available in one place and it can be accessed as per the users’ convenience. With the advent of AI, VR, and AR, it is now possible to make the learning process more interesting and interactive for users.

  • Track progress

Most of the apps have a provision to track the progress one makes while learning from these education apps. This is quite helpful especially students who are preparing for competitive exams to help them understand what they should focus on to improve. Parents and teachers can also track the progress of their wards and help them improve.
